Telangana Congress

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao has launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging that Congress has failed to fulfil its 2023 election promises. KTR questioned the implementation of six guarantees, 13 declarations and 420 promises, while accusing the state government of corruption and poor governance.

Telangana has recorded more than 28,870 Form 7 applications during the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Officials have warned that false declarations could lead to action.

Telangana Congress held statewide protests on September 28, 2026, raising concerns over the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The party has sought greater transparency and detailed information on voter-list revisions and deletions.

BJP MP D.K. Aruna has said that the party has held no discussions about inviting former Telangana minister Konda Surekha to join the BJP following her removal from the state Cabinet. The development comes amid political speculation over Surekha’s future and growing debate within Telangana Congress.
