Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 30 October 2026 during an event in Banaskantha, Gujarat.
Under this instalment, more than 9.34 crore eligible farmer families across India are set to receive financial assistance worth over ₹18,690 crore directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The PM-KISAN scheme provides eligible landholding farmer families with ₹6,000 annually in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. The initiative aims to provide financial support to farmers for their agricultural and household expenses.
The latest instalment highlights the government's continued focus on direct financial assistance and farmer welfare.
The event also included initiatives to strengthen agricultural infrastructure, including the dedication of 521 units established under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund and the inauguration of 12 horticulture clusters.
The release of the 24th instalment is another significant development in India's agricultural welfare programmes.
