Maharashtra politics has entered another tense phase as Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil's indefinite hunger strike continues. The state government has announced four Government Resolutions aimed at extending education and training benefits to Maratha, Kunbi and SEBC youth, while Jarange has continued to demand a broader resolution to the reservation issue.

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has intervened in the ongoing protest by Adivasi students in Pune, urging Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to personally engage with the students and address their grievances. The protest centres on rules governing government-run tribal hostels, including age eligibility and concerns over hostel facilitie
