PDA Rath Yatra

Uttar Pradesh is heading toward a closely contested political phase ahead of the 2027 Assembly election, with the BJP strengthening its organisation while the SP and Congress work to maintain their alliance and resolve seat-sharing issues.

Uttar Pradesh politics is moving into an increasingly active phase ahead of the February 2027 Assembly election, with the BJP focusing on organisational mobilisation and the record of the Yogi Adityanath government, while the Samajwadi Party has begun taking its PDA message to voters through a statewide Rath Yatra.

The immediate issue is not a confirmed seat allocation but the negotiating position Congress will take into its discussions with the SP. Congress is simultaneously building an organisation across all 403 constituencies, while the SP continues its own statewide mobilisation, leaving the final alliance structure open.

The PDA Rath Yatra places Political Parties and their social outreach strategies at the centre of Uttar Pradesh Politics ahead of the 2027 Elections. The Rae Bareli programme is also significant for the SP-Congress relationship, while issues of Governance and representation remain important beyond the Lok Sabha level. The coming months will provide more clarity on the parties' campaign strategies and their approach to seat-sharing.

With the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election expected in 2027, major political parties have stepped up their organisational and grassroots preparations. The BJP is focusing on booth-level coordination and workers, while the Samajwadi Party is preparing a statewide PDA Rath Yatra. Congress has also undertaken organisational changes ahead of the polls.
